23 years ago I married a wonderful Filipina lady. At that time I had just started finding out about Permaculture. Our plan then was to eventually retire in the Southern Philippines, get some land, build a house and get it all set up according to Permaculture and Feng Shui principles. Ever since then we have been working and saving to do it. The house is built for our home but needs major repairs, rebuilding and finishing that will take a few months.

I have been working on converting two and a half hectares of land mostly already planted with durian, coconut, rambutan, etc into an organic, permaculture food forest, garden and veggie areas. There are now about 2,000 fruit trees planted of every type I could find. We have Tilapia growing fast in a pond, an experimental aquaponics system and a very low cost experimental hydroponics system that are doing well so far. We have about 30 chickens, two bee hives and six worm bins. After I build some pig pens we will raise two or three pigs.

I included a discussion forum to keep my progress logs of whatever we are doing and to discuss things with visitors who have similar interests. You can register here then post messages, etc.
