21 years ago I married a wonderful Filipina lady. At that time I had just started finding out about Permaculture. Our plan then was to eventually retire to Davao, Philippines, get some land, build a house and get it all set up according to Permaculture and Feng Shui principles. Ever since then we have been working and saving for the time when we can actually do it. I am not an expert on Permaculture but am studying like crazy. I am also not a Feng Shui expert but I am fortunate in having a very good friend, Clif Sanderson, who is.
I am retired and my wife is looking forward to her retirement so its now up to me to get started on building our retirement home. The beach house is almost finished and I am looking forward to making a start on the house that will be our home and the surrounding two hectares or so of garden and crops. I am building small boats and making things as needed like a water tank tower, a farm trailer, etc.
As this will involve a few projects I thought it would be a good idea to keep a record of progress and being a web developer, the obvious way to do it for me is to set up a web site that includes some way for others with similar interests to comment, make suggestions, etc.
A lot of people have shown interest in learning about the healing and medicinal properties of local plants so I have included a discussion forum where I will add whatever information I can but I can't do it all myself so please register and post what you know or simply ask questions that may prompt those who do know to answer.
